Tamannaah Bhatia’s supernatural thriller Odela 2 is going to be released soon. It is the sequel to the 2022 OTT release Odela. The movie is directed by Ashok Teja and penned by Sampath Nandi. You will get to know about the movie in this article.

Story:

In the village of Odela, the corpse of Tirupati is sealed by the villagers . It is known that he has done many things. But his vengeful spirit returns six months later, who is aimed to destroy the entire village. As women once again begin falling victim to horrific murders, fear grips the community. Desperate, the villagers seek help from Bhairavi and  she arrives with a divine purpose: to confront Tirupathi’s spirit and restore peace. Why was Tirupathi really killed? What is Bhairavi’s connection to Odela?  These form the real suspense of the story.

Review- All the parts,  particularly the murder scenes and the climax featuring Lord Shiva, are effectively  done. Performance of all the cast is also good. Tamannaah Bhatia has played her role very well. But the film also suffers from a lack of engaging scenes and some parts are also not good as well. Murali Sharma’s character could have been shown more. It would be more interesting, if all the minor changes could be removed.

Director Ashok Teja tries hard to make the scene more dramatic. He tried Sampath Nandi’s script to life with the kind of  performance the actors were giving.  The movie fails to build any real suspense or tension.

Soundararajan’s cinematography is functional.  Avinash’s editing could have been better as compared to this film. Many scenes feel overly long for the story it tells. The VFX work is underwhelming, and though the production values are adequate, they don’t stand out.

Verdict:

Odela 2 is a supernatural thriller. It has  a few good  moments of interest but largely suffers due to a predictable.Tamannaah  and Vasishta have made a good performance. The scenes were also good but the complete storyline cannot hold back the audience in their seats.
