Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s romantic drama Thandel saw a strong performance on its 10th day, earning ₹3.24 crore, coinciding with its second Sunday at the box office. As of now, the movie has grossed ₹57.19 crore in India, according to Sacnilk.
Despite a rocky start, with a significant 64.71% drop on the first Monday, February 11, Thandel has managed to bounce back and is showing consistent performance. Globally, the film has raked in ₹74.25 crore by Day 10, with ₹11 crore from overseas markets and ₹63.25 crore from India.
Is Thandel Naga Chaitanya’s Biggest Hit?
Thandel has become the biggest hit of Naga Chaitanya’s career, surpassing the opening day collection of his previous success, Love Story. On Day 1, Thandel earned ₹11.5 crore, beating Love Story’s ₹10.50 crore. The film’s success is particularly noteworthy after the disappointing performance of Custody, which earned just ₹20 crore during its entire run.
OTT Release Plans for Thandel
Reports suggest that Thandel is likely to stream on Netflix, with the potential OTT release expected around March 2025, though an official announcement is yet to be made.
