Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s latest Telugu romantic action drama Thandel continues its theatrical run, accumulating an impressive ₹80.5 crore at the global box office by the end of its 13-day journey.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Thandel has garnered ₹11.15 crore from international markets, while its domestic gross earnings stand at ₹69.35 crore.
Despite a significant dip of 64.71% in collections on its first Monday (February 11), the movie has maintained a steady presence at the box office. The makers are optimistic about Thandel crossing the ₹100-crore milestone soon.
On its 13th day (Friday), the film added ₹75 lakh to its tally, pushing its domestic net earnings to ₹59.95 crore.
With an impressive ₹11.50 crore on its opening day, Thandel has secured the biggest opening in Naga Chaitanya’s career. Previously, Love Story (2021) held the record, earning ₹10.50 crore on its first day.
Directed by Chandu Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts, Thandel is inspired by the real-life story of a fisherman from Srikakulam who is captured by Pakistani forces in international waters.
The film stars Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, alongside Prakash Belawadi, Divya Pillai, Rao Ramesh, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Kalpa Latha, Kalyani Natarajan, Parvateesam, Mahesh Achanta, and Kishore Raju Vasishta.
The soundtrack, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, has gained immense popularity, with songs like Bujji Thalli and Highlessa Highlessa trending across social media platforms.
With its gripping storyline and strong audience reception, Thandel continues its box office journey, aiming for the coveted ₹100-crore club.
