A tragic incident unfolded in Hayathnagar, Hyderabad, where a 24-year-old man, Akhilesh Reddy, died by suicide following significant financial losses in online share market trading. Akhilesh, a resident of Surya Nagar and a BTech graduate, had recently been investing in the share market in hopes of earning better returns. Unfortunately, the majority of the shares he purchased saw a steep decline, resulting in a loss of about ₹25 lakh.
Distraught over these financial setbacks, Akhilesh took his life by hanging himself at home when his family members were not present. The police discovered a suicide note in which Akhilesh cited his losses in the share market as the reason for his decision. The Hayathnagar police have launched an investigation, and the body has been sent for autopsy.
