Venky Atluri is enjoying the spotlight as a filmmaker with consecutive blockbusters to his credit. His recent successes, Sir and Lucky Bhaskar, have both been box office hits, establishing him as a prominent name in Telugu cinema.
Reflecting on Sir, a film starring Dhanush, Venky revealed an interesting backstory. He shared that many leading actors had turned down the project because they disliked the film’s unconventional ending.
“Several top stars insisted on altering the climax, but I stood firm on my vision. Since I refused to change it, they decided to pass on the film,” Venky said.
With no other options, Venky approached Dhanush with the story. “To my surprise, Dhanush not only appreciated the script but also loved the unique ending. He immediately agreed to be part of the film,” he added.
Venky’s unwavering commitment to his creative instincts has paid off, with Lucky Bhaskar, starring Dulquer Salmaan, further cementing his reputation as a talented filmmaker and storyteller.
