Director Vignesh Shivan, known for his work and as the husband of actress Nayanthara, recently found himself at the center of multiple controversies. The first arose from a dispute with actor Dhanush regarding the use of clips from Dhanush’s films in Vignesh and Nayanthara’s wedding documentary. Now, new rumors have emerged, leading to further speculation.
Reports suggested that Vignesh Shivan was attempting to acquire Seagulls Hotel, a government property in Pondicherry, and had been meeting officials regarding the matter. These claims quickly gained attention and sparked widespread chatter.
Addressing the speculation, Vignesh Shivan took to Instagram to clarify the situation. He explained:
“I visited Pondicherry to inspect the airport and secure shooting permissions for my upcoming film, Love Insurance Kompany. As a mark of respect, I met with the Honourable Chief Minister and the Honourable Tourism Minister. After my meeting, a local manager who accompanied me inquired about something for himself, which was wrongly linked to me. The memes, videos, and jokes circulating were funny yet unnecessary. I felt it was important to clear the air. Thank you!”
With this clarification, Vignesh Shivan has effectively debunked the rumors, putting an end to the speculation surrounding his visit to Pondicherry.
