Vijay Deverakonda recently attended a promotional event at Mumbai’s Mithibai College to promote his upcoming song, Sahiba. However, the event took an unexpected turn when Vijay slipped and fell down a set of stairs as he was leaving. The incident, captured in a video circulating on social media, shows the actor briefly losing his balance and stumbling. Although he quickly regained his composure, his team acted swiftly, covering the cameras and asking photographers at the event to avoid filming the incident.
Fans expressed their concern after watching the clip on social media, flooding the comments section with supportive messages. One fan noted, “This can happen to anyone, it’s just an accidental slip.” Another user highlighted the challenges of celebrity life, commenting, “Privacy is hard to maintain once you’re in the public eye.”
This isn’t the only health setback Vijay has faced recently. While shooting an action sequence for his upcoming project, VD 12, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, he injured his shoulder. According to sources, despite experiencing pain, Vijay continued filming, undergoing regular physio and rehab to manage the injury. “He’s pushing through and following a strict regimen to avoid escalating the injury,” a source from his team shared.
On the professional front, Vijay has faced a challenging few years. Both World Famous Lover (2020) and Liger (2022) struggled at the box office and received mixed reviews. Most recently, he appeared alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Kushi (2023) and The Family Star with Mrunal Thakur, while making a cameo as Arjuna in Kalki 2898 AD. Fans are eagerly awaiting his next projects with directors Gowtam Tinnanuri and Rahul Sankrityan, hoping for a strong comeback.
