Vijay’s The GOAT Worldwide Closing Collections – Declared a Hit

Despite receiving negative reviews from critics, Vijay’s sci-fi drama The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) has surprisingly emerged as a box office hit across various regions. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film has been particularly successful in Tamil Nadu and overseas, where it has proven highly profitable for distributors.

In Karnataka, GOAT managed to break even, ensuring no losses for buyers. However, the movie didn’t fare well in the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana) and Kerala, where it was considered a flop.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of the film’s gross earnings:

  • Tamil Nadu – ₹220 Crore
  • Overseas – ₹157 Crore
  • Karnataka – ₹28 Crore
  • Kerala – ₹13.5 Crore
  • Andhra Pradesh & Telangana – ₹12.5 Crore
  • Rest of India – ₹24 Crore

Total Worldwide Gross – ₹455 Crore
Breakeven Mark – ₹400 Crore
Verdict – HIT

The music for GOAT is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with Meenakshi Chaudhary and Malavika Sharma playing the female leads. This film marks Vijay’s penultimate project before his upcoming film, #Thalapathy69, which will be written and directed by H. Vinoth.
