Vishal’s latest film, “Rathnam,” directed by Hari, marks their third collaboration after “Bharani” and “Pooja.” Despite having Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, “Rathnam” started with low buzz and ultimately faced poor reviews and weak word of mouth, leading to a box office failure.
Now, “Rathnam” is available for streaming on Prime Video in both Tamil and Telugu, with English subtitles. The streaming platform released the film without prior announcement, just four weeks after its theatrical debut.
Featuring performances by Samuthirakani, Yogibabu, and Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film was produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam of Stonebench Films in association with Zee Studios. The music was composed by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad. It remains to be seen how “Rathnam” will perform in the OTT space. Stay tuned for updates.
