Vishwak Sen’s intense action drama “Gangs of Godavari” is set for a grand release this Friday. Directed by Krishna Chaitanya, the film stars Neha Sshetty and Anjali as the female leads. In a recent interview, the director shared an intriguing update about the movie that is sure to surprise fans.
Krishna Chaitanya revealed, “I first discussed the idea of ‘Gangs of Godavari’ with artist Anand Ramaraju, and from there, we began developing the story. Initially, the project was set to feature Sharwanand. However, due to the emotional tone of his previous film, Sharwanand requested to put this movie on hold. This caused some delays. Another one of my films was also postponed, creating further gaps. I then narrated the story to Vishwak Sen, who liked it, and the project was revived.”
Time will tell if Sharwanand’s decision was wise or a missed opportunity. “Gangs of Godavari” is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
