Born and raised in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, Harsha Chemudu grew up in a middle-class family. He attended Vignan Vidyalayam School for his early education in his hometown and later pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chaitanya Engineering College in Visakhapatnam.
Harsha’s passion for acting and filmmaking emerged in his childhood, sparking his desire to become a successful actor in the Telugu film industry. His father, Satyanarayana Rao, serves as a bank manager at Federal Bank, while his mother, Rama Devi, is a homemaker. Initially introverted, Harsha’s interest in acting blossomed through participation in short films and eventually led him to join the Telugu film fraternity.

Viva Harsha embarked on his Telugu film journey with his debut role in the short film “Viva” in 2013, directed by his close friend Sabarish Kandregula. This venture, which premiered on YouTube, swiftly propelled him to fame, earning him the moniker Viva Harsha and a dedicated fan base. Shortly thereafter, he made his transition to the silver screen with a role in the Telugu film “Masala” in the same year. Subsequently, he showcased his talents in various films including “Govindudu Andarivadele,” “Dohchay,” “Colour Photo,” “Thank You Brother,” and “Thimmarusu: Assignment Vali,” among others.
