Nithiin and Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming films, “Robinhood” and “Thandel,” are set to clash at the box office on December 20. Directed by Venky Kudumula and Chandoo Mondeti respectively, these films will also face competition from the Hollywood release “Mufasa: The Lion King” on the same date.

The release date for “Robinhood” was officially announced on Sri Rama Navami, accompanied by a striking poster featuring Nithiin seated on a bike dressed in black. Sharing the poster, Nithiin confirmed the release date as December 20th, 2024.

While the release date for “Thandel” is yet to be officially confirmed, industry sources suggest that the makers are also eyeing a December 20th release. Noted industry tracker Ramesh Bala also indicated the same through a post on social media.

With the clash looming, fans have already taken sides, reminiscent of previous box office clashes on the same date, such as Sai Dharam Tej’s “Prati Roju Pandaage” and Balakrishna’s “Ruler” in 2019, with Ravi Teja’s “Disco Raja” postponing its release to 2020.

Some fans are expressing their anticipation for the clash, analyzing the potential edge each film may have. While others are eagerly anticipating the showdown between “Thandel” and “Robinhood,” hoping for exciting promotional content from both camps.
