Prabhas Announces Official Postponement of Sci-Fi Spectacle ‘Kalki 2898 AD’

Prabhas has officially announced the postponement of the highly anticipated Sci-Fi film “Kalki 2898 AD.” The Rebel Star, currently engrossed in a big-budget project directed by Nag Ashwin under the banner of Vyjayanthi Films, confirmed the delay in the release of “Kalki 2898 AD.”

During a recent media interaction, Prabhas expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of “Salaar Part 1” and conveyed his eagerness to kickstart “Salaar Part 2” at the earliest. He mentioned having commitments with Prashanth Neel and assured a swift completion and commencement of the second part, emphasizing that the entire storyline is already prepared.

Addressing his upcoming projects, Prabhas clarified that his next film is a horror movie, indicating Maruthi’s film rather than “Kalki 2898 AD.” Speculations within the industry hint at the possibility that “Kalki 2898 AD” may not see a release this year.

Director Nag Ashwin had previously mentioned an April update on the trailer, leading fans to anticipate a scheduled release on May 9. However, Nag Ashwin emphasized his commitment to ensuring 100% satisfaction with the CGI work before releasing the film.

Meanwhile, promotions for Prabhas’s film with Maruthi have commenced, with an announcement of a Sankranthi update. The film is slated for a Dasara release in 2024, making it the likely next theatrical release for Prabhas.
