Sundeep Kishan is a prominent Tamil and Telugu actor who made a significant impact with his film debut in the 2010 movie “Prasthanam.” Since then, he has starred in numerous films, including “Shor in the City,” “Joru,” and “Tiger.”
Early Life
Born on May 7, 1987, in Chennai, Sundeep Kishan spent most of his childhood in the city. His mother works for All India Radio, and his father is an entrepreneur. Kishan attended the renowned Loyola College before moving to Hyderabad to pursue a career in the film industry. He is the nephew of the acclaimed cinematographer Chota K. Naidu, who supported Kishan’s choice to become an actor.
Career
Sundeep Kishan began his career as an assistant director, working on projects like “Surya s/o Krishnan” and “Vaaranam Aayiram” under the guidance of Gautham Menon. Although he started working on “Sneha Geetham” before “Prasthanam,” the latter was released first in 2010, marking his acting debut. “Sneha Geetham” followed in 2010.
Kishan’s performance in “Prasthanam” earned him critical acclaim for his portrayal of Chinna, a politically motivated criminal and son of Sai Kumar’s character. This success led to his role in the Hindi film “Shor in the City” (2011), produced by Ekta Kapoor and featuring Sendhil Ramamurthy.
In 2014, Kishan had two releases: “Ra Ra Krishnayya” and “Joru.” However, it was his role in the 2015 film “Tiger” that garnered significant recognition. The film was well-received, and Kishan’s performance was praised by critics and audiences alike. Telugu superstar Ravi Teja personally called Kishan to commend his portrayal of the titular hero.
Kishan’s other 2015 release was “Beeruva,” followed by “Okka Ammayi Thappa” and “Race” in 2016. His 2017 projects included the Tamil sci-fi thriller “Mayavan,” the Tamil thriller “Maanagaram” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and the Telugu action film “Nakshatram” directed by Krishna Vamsi. In 2018, he appeared in “Naragasooran,” and his 2019 release was “Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL,” directed by G. Nageswara Reddy.

Other Work
In addition to his successful acting career, Sundeep Kishan has ventured into the business world. He owns a popular restaurant chain in Hyderabad named Vivaha Bhojanambhu. Expanding his entrepreneurial pursuits, Kishan also launched a unisex salon business called Express Unisex in Vijayawada.
