Asaduddin Owaisi Visits Hyderabad’s Rameshwaram Cafe After Bengaluru Blast

Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), expressed his condemnation of the cowardly act that transpired at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru, labeling it as an assault on India’s core values. In a gesture of solidarity, Owaisi visited Hyderabad’s Rameshwaram Cafe to extend his support to the victims injured in the explosion, which occurred at the cafe’s Bengaluru branch on Friday.

Asserting the significance of the cafe’s name, which pays homage to the birthplace of former President APJ Abdul Kalam, Owaisi emphasized the cafe’s symbolic connection to Indian heritage. He underscored his sentiments on social media, sharing photos of his visit and reaffirming his stance against such heinous acts.

The explosion, caused by a low-intensity improvised explosive device (IED), rattled the Rameshwaram Cafe during lunchtime, leaving nine individuals wounded. The Bengaluru central crime branch swiftly apprehended four suspects in connection with the blast and are making headway in identifying the primary perpetrator.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the injured victims, assuring them of the government’s support in covering their medical expenses. Meanwhile, the opposition party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), criticized the Siddaramaiah administration for not taking decisive action against the culprits, urging stringent measures to uphold law and order.

Raghavendra Rao, the founder and CEO of Rameshwaram Cafe, announced the cafe’s imminent reopening on March 8, coinciding with Mahashivratri. Expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support, Rao extended heartfelt wishes to the injured individuals and emphasized the cafe’s determination to rise resiliently from the setback. He called upon the government to ensure the prevention of such incidents nationwide, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to safeguard against such tragedies.
